the Salt-Air Songwriting Retreat
The opportunity to break away from the daily routines and distractions that often stand in the way of creating and finishing the songs you were meant to write
Salt-Air Songwriting Retreat is a destination-fueled experience where songwriters immerse themselves in the inspiring history, culture, and natural environment of the Outer Banks.

Participants engage in curated outings, presentations, and small-group workshops focused on developing songwriting techniques, finding inspiration in unusual places, and building stronger creative tools.

Over the four-day retreat, participants will be inspired by local storytellers, historians, and environmentalists that they are introduced to during presentations and while touring local communities and historic sites
Participants will also attend curated small-group workshops focusing on the craft of song making, while being encouraged to integrate elements from the tours and talks that they experience.
Evening performances presented at Manteo's storied Pioneer Theater will be open to the public, and will feature original music by the Salt-Air participants and their instructors.
